Who we are

ChemAI (chemai.eu) is a free educational chemistry platform for secondary-school students and teachers, run by an individual teacher. Contact: [email protected].

What data we collect

• Account data: display name, username or e-mail address, and a salted password hash (we never store passwords in plain text). Teachers enter an e-mail address.
• Learning data: classes you join, answers and scores in quizzes and assignments, written work you submit, completed virtual-lab experiments and your teacher’s grades and feedback.
• Google sign-in: if you choose “Sign in with Google”, we receive your Google account ID, name and verified e-mail address. We use them only to sign you in and to match you to your class.
• Google Classroom (teachers only): if a teacher connects Google Classroom, ChemAI can read the teacher’s course list and class rosters (student names and Google account IDs, used to match students who sign in with Google), create assignments in courses the teacher chooses, and write grades to assignments that ChemAI created. The access token is stored encrypted and can be revoked at any time.
• E-mail notifications (optional): if you switch them on, we store the e-mail address you give us (after you confirm it) and send short messages about new homework, due dates and your daily streak. A student may also enter a parent's e-mail for a monthly progress report; it is used only after the parent confirms it. Teachers can get due-date reminders and a monthly class summary. They are sent through Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France). Every e-mail has an unsubscribe link; you can also switch them off on your dashboard.
• Project homework and exam practice: when a teacher sets a project, the student's measurement table, short report and up to 4 photos (shrunk in the browser) are stored in our database and are visible only to that student and the class teacher. Please do not photograph faces or personal documents. Mock-exam answers and scores are stored so you can see your history and review mistakes. Deleting the task or your account deletes all of this.
• Lab certificates: when you ask for a certificate, we store your display name, the achievement and the date with a short code. Anyone who has the certificate link or code can see that certificate (to check it is real). Deleting your account deletes your certificates.
• Tests (exam mode): when a teacher locks a test, we record when the student left the test screen (switched tab or window, left full screen, pressed Back) and for how long. Only the student’s teacher sees this, next to the test results. Teachers can add a grade and a short note to each answer; the student sees the note with the results. All of it is deleted when the student’s account is deleted.
• Live games without an account: a student can join a teacher’s live game with the PIN and a nickname. We store only the nickname, the answers and points in that game, and a hashed network address used to limit abuse. Guests cannot sign in again or join a class. Everything is deleted automatically after 2 days. The teacher can remove a nickname from the game.
• Trial accounts (“Try without an account”): one click creates a private teacher or student account with an invented example class. We store nothing about you except a hashed network address used to limit abuse. The trial cannot send e-mails, connect Google or be joined by real students, and the account with everything in it is deleted automatically after 24 hours.
• AI tutor: messages you send to the AI tutor are sent to one of these AI services to generate an answer: Groq (open models), Google Gemini API or Cloudflare Workers AI (open models). Only the conversation text is sent, without your name or account details. Do not include personal information in tutor messages.
• Virtual lab statistics: when an experiment is opened, a step is reached, the experiment is finished or a calculation is checked, the lab adds one to a daily counter for that experiment. Only these numbers are kept — no name, account, IP address or cookie. They show us which experiments to improve.
• Technical data: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and the IP address used only for brute-force protection of the login form. Some progress (for example the virtual lab) is stored only in your own browser. If a page breaks in your browser, an automatic error report is sent: the error text, the page address without its query, the browser family and language — no name, account or IP address.

How we use data

Only to provide the service: signing you in, showing classes and assignments, scoring work, showing results to your teacher and, when the teacher asks for it, transferring grades to Google Classroom. We do not sell data, show advertising, or use data for profiling or marketing.

Google user data

ChemAI’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google data is used only for the features described above, is not shared with third parties except as needed to run the service, is not used for advertising, and is not used to train AI models.

Where data is stored

Data is stored in Cloudflare’s infrastructure (Cloudflare Pages and D1 database). Data is transferred only over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.

Who can see your data

Your teacher can see your name, username, class membership, answers, scores and submitted work for their classes. Other students see only what is shared in the class stream and, in live games, the leaderboard name.

Retention and deletion

Data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard (“Delete account”); this removes your account, sessions, answers and linked Google identity. Teachers can disconnect Google Classroom from the Google tab, and anyone can revoke ChemAI’s access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. You can also ask for access, correction or deletion by e-mail.

Children

ChemAI is intended for use in schools under a teacher’s supervision. Students under the age required by local law should use ChemAI only with the consent of a parent or the school.

Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct, delete and export your data, to object to processing, and to complain to your data-protection authority (in Romania: ANSPDCP).

Changes

We will update this page if the way we handle data changes, and change the date above.

Cine suntem

Ce date colectăm

• Date de cont: nume afișat, nume de utilizator sau adresă de e-mail și parola sub formă de hash cu sare (parolele nu sunt stocate niciodată în clar).
• Date de învățare: clasele în care intri, răspunsurile și scorurile la teste și teme, lucrările trimise, experimentele de laborator virtual finalizate, notele și observațiile profesorului.
• Conectare cu Google: dacă alegi „Conectare cu Google”, primim ID-ul contului Google, numele și adresa de e-mail verificată, folosite doar pentru autentificare și pentru a te asocia clasei tale.
• Google Classroom (doar profesori): dacă profesorul conectează Google Classroom, ChemAI poate citi lista cursurilor și a elevilor (nume și ID-ul contului Google, folosit pentru a-i asocia pe elevii care se conectează cu Google), poate crea teme în cursurile alese de profesor și poate scrie note la temele create de ChemAI. Tokenul de acces este stocat criptat și poate fi revocat oricând.
• Notificări prin e-mail (opțional): dacă le activezi, păstrăm adresa de e-mail pe care ne-o dai (după ce o confirmi) și trimitem mesaje scurte despre teme noi, termene și seria ta zilnică. Elevul poate introduce și e-mailul unui părinte pentru un raport lunar; acesta este folosit doar după ce părintele îl confirmă. Profesorii pot primi mementouri de termen și un rezumat lunar al clasei. Sunt trimise prin Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, Franța). Fiecare e-mail are link de dezabonare; le poți opri și din panou.
• Teme-proiect și pregătire pentru examen: când profesorul dă un proiect, tabelul de măsurători, raportul scurt și cel mult 4 fotografii (micșorate în browser) ale elevului sunt păstrate în baza noastră de date și sunt vizibile doar elevului și profesorului clasei. Te rugăm să nu fotografiezi fețe sau documente personale. Răspunsurile și scorurile de la testele de exersare sunt păstrate ca să-ți vezi istoricul și să-ți repeți greșelile. Ștergerea temei sau a contului șterge toate aceste date.
• Certificate de laborator: când ceri un certificat, păstrăm numele afișat, realizarea și data, cu un cod scurt. Oricine are linkul sau codul certificatului îl poate vedea (pentru a verifica dacă este real). Ștergerea contului șterge certificatele.
• Teste (mod examen): când profesorul blochează un test, înregistrăm când elevul a părăsit ecranul testului (a schimbat fila sau fereastra, a ieșit din ecranul complet, a apăsat Înapoi) și cât timp. Doar profesorul elevului vede aceste date, lângă rezultatele testului. Profesorul poate adăuga o notă și un scurt comentariu la fiecare răspuns; elevul vede comentariul la rezultate. Totul se șterge odată cu contul elevului.
• Jocuri live fără cont: un elev poate intra într-un joc live al profesorului cu PIN-ul și o poreclă. Păstrăm doar porecla, răspunsurile și punctele din acel joc și o adresă de rețea criptată (hash), folosită împotriva abuzurilor. Oaspeții nu se pot autentifica din nou și nu pot intra într-o clasă. Totul se șterge automat după 2 zile. Profesorul poate elimina o poreclă din joc.
• Conturi de probă („Încearcă fără cont”): un clic creează un cont privat de profesor sau de elev, cu o clasă exemplu inventată. Nu păstrăm nimic despre tine, în afară de o adresă de rețea criptată (hash), folosită împotriva abuzurilor. Contul de probă nu trimite e-mailuri, nu se conectează la Google și elevii reali nu pot intra în clasele lui; contul și tot ce conține se șterg automat după 24 de ore.
• Tutorele AI: mesajele trimise tutorelui sunt transmise către unul dintre aceste servicii AI pentru a genera un răspuns: Groq (modele deschise), Google Gemini API sau Cloudflare Workers AI (modele deschise). Se trimite doar textul conversației, fără numele sau datele contului. Nu include date personale în mesaje.
• Statistici ale laboratorului virtual: când un experiment este deschis, se atinge un pas, experimentul este terminat sau se verifică un calcul, laboratorul adaugă unu la un contor zilnic pentru acel experiment. Se păstrează doar aceste numere — fără nume, cont, adresă IP sau cookie. Ne arată ce experimente să îmbunătățim.
• Date tehnice: un cookie de sesiune și adresa IP, folosită doar pentru protecția formularului de autentificare. Dacă o pagină dă eroare în browser, se trimite automat un raport: textul erorii, adresa paginii fără parametri, tipul browserului și limba — fără nume, cont sau adresă IP.

Cum folosim datele

Doar pentru funcționarea serviciului. Nu vindem date, nu afișăm reclame și nu facem profilare sau marketing.

Datele Google

Utilizarea și transferul informațiilor primite de la API-urile Google respectă Politica privind datele utilizatorilor pentru serviciile API Google, inclusiv cerințele de utilizare limitată (Limited Use). Datele Google nu sunt folosite pentru reclame și nici pentru antrenarea modelelor AI.

Stocare, păstrare și ștergere

Datele sunt stocate în infrastructura Cloudflare și transmise doar prin HTTPS. Le păstrăm cât timp există contul. Poți șterge contul oricând din panou („Șterge contul”) sau poți cere acces, corectare ori ștergere prin e-mail. Ai drepturile prevăzute de GDPR, inclusiv dreptul de a depune o plângere la ANSPDCP.

Copii

ChemAI este destinat utilizării în școli, sub îndrumarea profesorului. Elevii sub vârsta prevăzută de lege îl folosesc cu acordul părinților sau al școlii.

Hangi verileri topluyoruz

• Öğrenme verileri: katıldığın sınıflar, test ve ödevlerdeki yanıtlar ve puanlar, teslim edilen çalışmalar, tamamlanan sanal laboratuvar deneyleri, öğretmen notları ve geri bildirimleri.
• Google ile giriş: “Google ile giriş”i seçersen Google hesap kimliğin, adın ve doğrulanmış e-posta adresin alınır; yalnızca giriş yapmak ve seni sınıfınla eşleştirmek için kullanılır.
• Google Classroom (yalnızca öğretmenler): Öğretmen Google Classroom’u bağlarsa ChemAI ders listesini ve öğrenci listesini (ad ve Google hesap kimliği; Google ile giriş yapan öğrencileri eşleştirmek için) okuyabilir, öğretmenin seçtiği derslerde ödev oluşturabilir ve ChemAI’ın oluşturduğu ödevlere not yazabilir. Erişim anahtarı şifreli saklanır ve her an geri alınabilir.
• E-posta bildirimleri (isteğe bağlı): açarsan, verdiğin e-posta adresini (onayladıktan sonra) saklarız ve yeni ödevler, teslim tarihleri ve günlük serin hakkında kısa mesajlar göndeririz. Öğrenci aylık ilerleme raporu için bir velinin e-postasını da girebilir; adres yalnızca veli onayladıktan sonra kullanılır. Öğretmenler teslim hatırlatmaları ve aylık sınıf özeti alabilir. E-postalar Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, Fransa) üzerinden gönderilir. Her e-postada bildirimleri kapatma bağlantısı vardır; panelinden de kapatabilirsin.
• Proje ödevleri ve sınava hazırlık: öğretmen bir proje verdiğinde öğrencinin ölçüm tablosu, kısa raporu ve en fazla 4 fotoğrafı (tarayıcıda küçültülerek) veritabanımızda saklanır; bunları yalnız o öğrenci ve sınıfın öğretmeni görebilir. Lütfen yüzlerin ya da kişisel belgelerin fotoğrafını çekme. Deneme sınavı cevapları ve puanları, geçmişini görebilmen ve hatalarını tekrar edebilmen için saklanır. Ödevi ya da hesabını silmek bunların hepsini siler.
• Laboratuvar sertifikaları: bir sertifika istediğinde görünen adını, başarıyı ve tarihi kısa bir kodla saklarız. Sertifikanın bağlantısına ya da koduna sahip olan herkes, gerçek olduğunu doğrulamak için o sertifikayı görebilir. Hesabını silmek sertifikalarını da siler.
• Sınavlar (test modu): öğretmen bir sınavı kilitlediğinde öğrencinin sınav ekranından ne zaman ve ne kadar süreyle çıktığını (sekme ya da pencere değiştirme, tam ekrandan çıkma, Geri tuşu) kaydederiz. Bunu yalnız öğrencinin öğretmeni, sınav sonuçlarının yanında görür. Öğretmen her cevaba puan ve kısa not ekleyebilir; öğrenci notu sonuçlarla birlikte görür. Öğrencinin hesabı silinince hepsi silinir.
• Hesapsız canlı yarışma: öğrenci öğretmenin canlı yarışmasına PIN ve takma adla katılabilir. Yalnız takma adı, o oyundaki cevapları ve puanları, kötüye kullanımı sınırlamak için şifrelenmiş (hash) ağ adresini saklarız. Misafirler tekrar giriş yapamaz ve sınıfa katılamaz. Hepsi 2 gün sonra kendiliğinden silinir. Öğretmen bir takma adı oyundan çıkarabilir.
• Deneme hesapları (“Hesapsız dene”): tek tık, uydurma bir örnek sınıfla sana özel bir öğretmen ya da öğrenci hesabı açar. Senin hakkında, kötüye kullanımı sınırlamak için şifrelenmiş (hash) ağ adresi dışında hiçbir şey saklamayız. Deneme hesabı e-posta gönderemez, Google’a bağlanamaz, gerçek öğrenciler sınıflarına katılamaz; hesap ve içindeki her şey 24 saat sonra kendiliğinden silinir.
• Yapay zekâ öğretmeni: öğretmene gönderilen mesajlar yanıt üretmek için şu yapay zekâ hizmetlerinden birine iletilir: Groq (açık modeller), Google Gemini API ya da Cloudflare Workers AI (açık modeller). Yalnızca sohbet metni gönderilir; adın ve hesap bilgilerin gönderilmez. Mesajlara kişisel bilgi yazma.
• Sanal laboratuvar istatistikleri: bir deney açıldığında, bir adıma ulaşıldığında, deney bitirildiğinde ya da bir hesap kontrol edildiğinde laboratuvar o deneyin günlük sayacına bir ekler. Yalnız bu sayılar tutulur — ad, hesap, IP adresi ya da çerez yok. Hangi deneyleri geliştireceğimizi gösterir.
• Teknik veriler: oturum çerezi ve yalnızca giriş formunu kaba kuvvet saldırılarına karşı korumak için kullanılan IP adresi. Bir sayfa tarayıcında hata verirse otomatik bir hata kaydı gönderilir: hata metni, sayfanın (parametresiz) adresi, tarayıcı türü ve dil — ad, hesap ya da IP adresi gönderilmez.

Yalnızca hizmeti sunmak için. Veri satmıyoruz, reklam göstermiyoruz, profil çıkarma ya da pazarlama yapmıyoruz.

Google verileri

Google API’lerinden alınan bilgilerin kullanımı ve aktarımı, Sınırlı Kullanım (Limited Use) koşulları dahil Google API Hizmetleri Kullanıcı Verileri Politikası’na uygundur. Google verileri reklam için ya da yapay zekâ modellerini eğitmek için kullanılmaz.

Saklama ve silme

Veriler Cloudflare altyapısında saklanır ve yalnızca HTTPS ile aktarılır. Hesabın var olduğu sürece tutulur. Hesabını panelden (“Hesabı sil”) her an silebilir ya da e-postayla erişim, düzeltme veya silme isteyebilirsin. GDPR kapsamındaki tüm hakların saklıdır.

Çocuklar

ChemAI okullarda öğretmen gözetiminde kullanılmak üzere tasarlanmıştır. Yasal yaşın altındaki öğrenciler veli ya da okul onayıyla kullanmalıdır.
